Our Story
I’ve spent the past 10 years in the construction industry — first as a civil engineer, then 3.5 years on the contractor’s side, and 4 years as a consultant. Those years gave me a front-row seat to how our industry works — the grit, the craftsmanship, but also the bottlenecks that slow projects down.
What stood out to me was this: while construction is evolving, many processes still rely heavily on outdated, manual methods. I saw huge potential in combining the physical world of construction with the precision and speed of digital tools.
That belief became the driving force behind BETEKK.
I founded BETEKK to bridge that gap — using Building Information Modelling (BIM), point cloud data, and machine learning to automate inspections, detect defects, and streamline workflows from pre-planning to handover.
For me, it’s not just about technology. It’s about giving construction teams the tools they need to build smarter, faster, and with confidence.
Khiong Kiat, Founder & CEO of BETEKK, brings a unique blend of technical expertise, construction project experience, and business acumen.
Formerly at the National University of Singapore, Khiong Kiat supported clients in securing MRT project tenders in Singapore worth up to SGD 1 billion — successfully helping them win.
In addition, Khiong Kiat oversaw the completion of 114-unit Springside Brooks Signature terrace housing development, giving firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities of large-scale construction.
Today, Khiong Kiat leads BETEKK’s mission to transform inspections and project delivery across the built environment.
